Instagram Remix #1

These pictures were first posted on instagram, most of them in response to the prompts of the Daily Post’s Photo101 class which gave me a good excuse to explore our new surroundings. They were all taken in Berlin with my Olympus OMD EM-10 and a Panasonic 20mm prime lens on it.

This portrait of ‘home’ cost me the crema on my espresso. Being all preoccupied with preparing the camera, I did not pay as much attention to coffee-making as I should have.

While it’s all cold and grey again now, the sun greeted us for a few days and invited us to search for the first signs of spring, to walk along the Spree river and to seek the most touristy places in Berlin.

The image above was my inspiration for the current ‘Tech of the month’. I hope you will check it all out and get your camera ready to capture a bit of glitter in your city.

No set of Berlin images could be complete without some street photography, some sense of alternative living and the TV tower, so here we go.

The last image is at the Tempelhofer Feld, a retired airport not far from the center of Berlin that is now used as a public space. With all the music and farming and kite skating that is going on there, it deserves a post all by itself and I’ll be sure to return there when the sun is out again.
