We went to Lille last weekend and watched the German national team play Ucraine in their first match in this European Championship. This is a photo I took from our seats close to the Ucranian curve, just before the match started.
Despite everything that happened in Marseille the day before and on that same afternoon in Lille, the atmosphere in the stadium was friendly and peaceful. We were glad that Germany won and we admired how much noise the Ucrainian fans made to support their team. Hoping for more undisturbed soccer matches this Euro, and for a more peaceful atmosphere in France’s cities too.
